Mission Statement

The mission of Rock Lake Middle School is to prepare students to become productive citizens, future leaders and lifelong learners by inspiring and empowering them to excel academically, technologically, physically, creatively and socially.

Vision Statement

Rock Lake Middle School will provide a safe and culturally diverse and supportive environment to promote learning for all students.  We will acknowledge their intellectual, personal, social, physical and creative needs.  We will meet these needs within an educational setting that encourages cooperative involvement from all stakeholders to provide a challenging and engaging curriculum, which is rich in technology and celebrates diversity with high expectations for all students.

BETA CLUB

To promote the ideals of academic achievement, character, service and leadership among elementary and secondary school students.

CHESS CLUB

For both advanced and beginners, come and challenge yourself! Beginning Monday 10/8/18 and meeting Mondays from 4:00 - 5:30 p.m..   Contact mksorin@cfl.rr.com for more information. 


FCA

Fellowship of Christian Athletes is led by student athletes and coaches and it focuses on serving local communities by equipping, empowering and encouraging people to make a difference. This club meets every Tuesday at 7:30 a.m. Contact Mrs. Salvo for more information.


GIRLS UNITY CLUB

The Girls Unity club empowers girls to see their potential!

The Unity Club will focus on:

  1. Leadership- Activities and discussions that help us understand how to be leaders
  2. Career opportunities – Female guest speakers from a multitude of career areas will discuss the impact they have in the world
  3. Service – Opportunities (both inside and beyond the classroom) to have an impact on today’s world
  4. Relationships – learning about each other and providing encouragement and support
  5. Confidence – Exploring ways to help us believe in ourselves and realizing the talents and skills we already possess.

This club is open to all 6th 7th and 8th Girls. Girls who are currently in Unity Homerooms as well as those who are not currently in Unity Homerooms are welcome attend.

MATH CLUB & MATH COUNTS

Math Club & Math Counts - Sponsor Dr. Gundal

ROBOTICS

Students compete with the Lego NXT robots on various challenges.  Contact Mrs. Harbrucker for more information!

S.E.A.L. TEAM

Service. Ethics. Awareness. Leadership.  Students who join the S.E.A.L. teams learn skills to become responsible, capable, future-readied individuals.  Groups meet during homeroom and you can contact Coach Westhelle, Mr. Bugos or Mr. Miller for more information.


THEATER CLUB

For students interested in preparing for and participating in a stage production.  Students must attend both Tuesday (4:00 - 5:30) and Wednesday (3:00 - 4:30) after school meetings.  Contact mksorkin@cfl.rr.com for more information.
