Mission Statement

The mission of Rock Lake Middle School is to prepare students to become productive citizens, future leaders and lifelong learners by inspiring and empowering them to excel academically, technologically, physically, creatively and socially.

Vision Statement

Rock Lake Middle School will provide a safe and culturally diverse and supportive environment to promote learning for all students.  We will acknowledge their intellectual, personal, social, physical and creative needs.  We will meet these needs within an educational setting that encourages cooperative involvement from all stakeholders to provide a challenging and engaging curriculum, which is rich in technology and celebrates diversity with high expectations for all students.

Dr. Rodriguez is a proud product of the Seminole County Public School system. He attended Geneva Elementary, Jackson Heights Middle, and Oviedo High School. He is a UCF Knight through and through, having attended UCF for his bachelor's degree (Radio / TV Broadcasting), master's degree (Educational Leadership), and doctoral degree (Educational Leadership).
 

 He is married to his beautiful wife Jaime (also a product of SCPS). Together, they have a beautiful daughter and a new son. In his spare time, Dr. Rodriguez enjoys the outdoors (being on the water specifically), Chicago Cubs baseball, and any opportunity in which to enjoy some BBQ.

Mary Beth Delfiacco received her BS, BA and M.Ed. from East Stroudsburg University in Pennsylvania, and her M.Ed. in Educational Leadership from American College of Education. She taught English and Journalism at Lake Brantley High School for 17 years, was a Dean at Seminole High School, and an Assistant Principal at Lake Brantley High School before coming to the “Rock”. Her husband is the Head Varsity Football Coach at Lake Brantley, and she has a son in 10th grade and a daughter in 6th grade. She is an avid reader and Pittsburg Steeler fan, loves the cold weather and snow skiing, but most of all, loves spending time with family.

Dr. Tim Bair, Dean

Dr. Tim Bair has served as a PE teacher, Science Teacher, and administrator in private and public schools for 35+ years.  He received his doctoral degree in Educational Leadership from UCF.  He has been the Dean at “The Rock” since the fall of 2011.

 

Dr. Bair was born and raised in Ohio and is a BIG fan of the two major sport teams from Cincinnati, the Reds and Bengals.  He has two adult children, one who is a graduate of Miami of Ohio and the other a graduate of University of Cincinnati.  Dr. Bair and his wife Cheryl have enjoyed living in the warm Florida climate since moving to the Orlando area in 2000.

Marc Pitters is a graduate of Broward College, Nova University and Barry University. He began his career in Broward County 26 years ago as a Social Studies teacher at Parkway Middle School, and later at Tequesta Trace Middle School. After 13 years as a middle school educator, he became an Assistant Principal at Cypress Bay High School. After several years, he moved to Seminole County, where he served as Assistant Principal at Lawton Chiles Middle School, and then moved to Rock Lake Middle School. He is married 26 years, and a proud father whose son graduated from Hagerty High School and is now a freshman at the University of Miami. Mr. Pitters loves to travel, fish, and watch baseball. He loves nothing better than spending a day at the ballpark to cheer on his hometown Los Angeles Dodgers.
